The GovTech sector is seeing strong momentum in mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising, particularly within Fire/EMS software, public safety communications, and drone technology. Key highlights include major investments such as Tyler Technologies’ acquisition of Emergency Networking, JMI’s $355M strategic investment in First Due, and Carbyne’s $100M funding round to expand its AI-powered emergency communications platform.
Drone technology is also gaining traction with deals involving BRINC, DroneSense, and Dedrone.

Overall, consolidation and growth capital activity remain robust, with over $7B in M&A transactions in 2025 year-to-date, driving both strategic expansion and innovation across public safety technology.
